Bartmann		 Herbert Bartmann was taught at the College of Piping in Glasgow, Scotland. Under his training, the Scandinavian Seaways Pipe Band of Hamburg became the first German pipe band to take part in the World Pipe Band Championship in Scotland. For the last 20 years, he has been giving concerts as a member of “Duo Contrario” (bagpipes and church organ) in and ouside of Germany. In the 1990s he played bagpipes as a guest soloist with the Hamburger Klassikphillharmonie.
